Take your time. This is the next few years of your life you’re planning. Ask your family, work colleagues (I suggest not the Boss!) and friends. Remember that a person who always agrees with you may not be a friend and someone who really challenges your ideas is not necessarily an enemy.
Pull your ideas apart and re-think them. Don’t let yourself be held back by phrases like “I don’t know how to do that” or “I’ve never…………..” “Don’t know” just means you haven’t found out yet and “I’ve never” is a way of describing your life so far.
If you’ve got this far and you still want to go ahead, now is the time to buy a (cheap!) notebook and start writing some things down. People who like to make life complicated call this a “Business Plan”. Their approach is exactly what can put you off starting a business.
A Business Plan is just a list of things you want to do and another list of things you need to do them. Simple. Start writing headings. We can get more detail later. Use the questions above as a guide or find out more here.
